Public Hearing Announced For June 7th!
Buendia Concrete, LLC is planning to build a permanent industrial concrete batch plant that will negatively affect several communities in the Magnolia area. If approved, the permit would allow tons of particulate matter per year, creating a serious health risk to surrounding neighbors and an environmental risk to livestock and wildlife.
WHY MUST THIS BE STOPPED?
This proposed location is not within an established industrial area suitable for concrete batch plant operations, but within a tranquil community of homes, nature trails, conservation areas, hayfields, creeks, horse farms, wild life habitats, ponds, and ranching operations.
If built, we can expect several negative impacts affecting surrounding communities including.... noise, traffic, poor air quality, water contamination, flood plain deterioration, safety issues, etc.
